2025 O’Fallon Municipal Election

The 2025 O’Fallon Municipal election is April 1st. Please exercise your civic duty by casting your vote to determine which candidates are elected for the contested local public offices.
There are 20 candidates running for nine contested local public offices.
Candidate Forum. There are plans to invite these candidates to participate in a Candidate Forum during which they will be asked to explain why they are running for office and what they believe they can do to improve O’Fallon from their elected position. The date/time/location for the Candidate Forum should be announced soon. You will be invited to attend to meet the candidates and for the opportunity to ask them questions.
O’Fallon Township: Two positions are contested.
Township Clerk. Incumbent Gary Hursey is opposed by Nicholas Downs and Judith Bugger.
Township Highway Commissioner. Candidates are Frank S. Morski and Gerald Helldoerfer.
O’Fallon City: Three positions are contested.
City Clerk. Jerry Mouser is running for a third term and is opposed by Opal Caroline Malare.
City Treasurer. Incumbent David Hursey is running for a fifth term and is opposed by Ronald Zelms.
City Council. Ward 3 incumbent Roy Carney is opposed by Vern Malare.
O’Fallon District 90 Board of Education: Nine candidates are running for a four-year term to fill four positions on the Board or Education.
Candidates are David Cobb, Adam Weber (incumbent), Jasen Foster, Laura Jacobi Van Hook (incumbent), Scott Underwood, Ankur Patel, Mary Lynam-Miller (incumbent), Emily Sackett, and Darrick Maupins.
All of the other candidates that filed to run for a local public office in this election are unopposed. These positions include:

Four spots on the O’Fallon Township Trustees
The O’Fallon City Mayor
One each O’Fallon City Council members for wards 1, 2, 5, 6, and 7. No one filed for ward 4.
Two of three open spots on the Central 104 Board of Education
Three of four open spots on the OTHS 203 Board or Education
One spot on Shiloh Village School District 85 Board of Education
